Good news first:
Ran easy 3 miles today. About 27 minutes. Loosen up the muscles but not much luck. Ran so well yesterday just gotta keep going. Rest and XT tomorrow. I'll lift too. That sounds good.
Went to the track meet at bettendorf and man those girls are just awesome. Some running out of their minds. Some stepping in on the spir of the moment to fill in a spot. They run their hearts out. No one that's not a runner would understand. It's an inpiration to me to keep running and get in better shape when I see how hard these girls work and the rewards they get when they race. The smiles. The exhaustion. So exciting. Even more exciting when I'm on one side of the track and they, and Wheels, can here me cheering on the other side of the track. Such an inspiration...
On a sadder note. Virginia Tech was hit was a unbelievable tragedy today. So shocking and scary it's hard to put into words. It's hard to believe such hatred still exists in this world. Will we ever get a clue? Say a prayer tonight for those lost, injured, directly affected, and all of us to have a safer, more friendly and peaceful world.
